(April 11, 2008) -- Dan Noah, warning coordination meteorologist with the National Weather Service forecast office serving the Tampa Bay Area was presented with the prestigious Unsung Hero Award from the Port of Tampa Chapter of the Propeller Club of the United States.
As the world's largest Propeller Club chapter, the mission of the Tampa club of the United is to develop a better understanding of the Maritime Industry in the Port of Tampa and to foster professional dialogue within and between the various businesses and professions related to the maritime industry.
As part of its second Annual Maritime Night Celebration and Awards Banquet, the Port of Tampa Propeller Club recognized Noah for his expertise and selfless dedication to the marine community. The Unsung Hero Award is given to an individual whose exceptional dedication and day to day efforts may not always be noticed - but are certainly appreciated.
