CEO Technology Update

Dear National Service Colleagues,

Thank you for your continued patience and flexibility in the face of significant shortcomings of the Corporation’s technology systems. Please accept my apology for the inconvenience and frustration you’ve had to endure.

Yesterday morning, we took an important step toward stabilizing our system by launching a number of significant upgrades. This morning, 24 hours later, it is a good sign that all of our systems remain up and working. Even if the system remains stable, however, we know that we must continue to do a better job of meeting customer needs – the My AmeriCorps Portal and Recruitment System, in particular, will receive immediate attention.

As we continue to improve our technology, our Help Desk is experiencing higher than normal usage.Please know that we are following up with all of these requests as quickly as possible. In addition, we hope you will continue to refer to the status page at www.nationalservice.gov/status for any changes in system availability.

Once again, on behalf of the Corporation staff, thank you for your good spirit during this challenging time.
