Going Undercover With Clouds

Destinations: Clouds can be found in a lot of places in our Solar System. Clouds have been observed on Venus, Earth, and Mars. The gas giants Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune could even be considered large dense clouds. Clouds even exist on moons such as Saturn's Titan. Next time you grab your umbrella, think of all the clouds in our Solar System.

Missions: This month the Venus Express spacecraft completes its long journey and starts orbiting Venus to conduct research through Venus' extensive clouds. The CloudSat and CALIPSO spacecraft will also launch into Earth orbit and begin observations of Earth's clouds.

Features: Clouds (and weather that creates them) can be found throughout the Solar System. The planet Venus in particular also has several exciting recent discoveries.
