Council Creates Task Force to Review City Charter
A task force is being developed to review the City of Albuquerque Charter and make recommendations for proposed revisions.
Call for Fuel Reduction Plans
Councilor Cadigan proposes a bill that responds to increasing gas prices and the City of Albuquerque's operating costs. If the bill passes, each City division director will develop a gasoline reduction plan to be presented at the August 4th Council meeting.
Balloon Landing Site Purchase Resolution
Twenty-two acres of Vista del Norte is to be acquired as a balloon landing site and recreational field. Councilor Debbie O'Malley will introduce legislation that transfers funds from various Balloon Fiesta projects to City Council for the balloon landing site purchase.
Small Business Assistance Center Bill
Councilor Cadigan wants to establish a small business assistance center for City of Albuquerque. The center will provide free access to a wide variety of resources and information. Guidance on working with the City of Albuquerque would be made available too.

Council President Brad Winter is introducing a resolution to have the City Fire Marshall develop a schedule to provide for the inspection of all private and public schools including charter schools for grades K through 12, within the City of Albuquerque, at least once a year.

Minimum Wage Increase
