Gene Expression Database (GXD)
GXD collects and integrates the gene expression information in MGI. Its primary emphasis is on endogenous gene expression during mouse development.

Gene Expression News 24 July 2008
  • In addition to links to detailed expression data entries, data summaries returned by the Gene Expression Data and Expanded query forms now also include links to expression literature content records matching the query parameters. Read more...

  • Some of the expression images annotated by GXD are 3-D spatially mapped into EMAGE, the Edinburgh Mouse Atlas and Gene Expression Database. GXD's image detail pages now include links to corresponding entries at EMAGE. This makes it easier to compare GXD's text-based and EMAGE's graphical annotation of the same expression data.

  • Now available on gene detail pages (see External Resources: in the Expression section) are links to gene expression profile pages at GEO, the microarray repository at NCBI; links to summary pages of images generated by GENSAT, the Gene Expression Nervous System Atlas Project; and links to the Allen Brain Atlas, a database of gene expression patterns in the adult mouse brain.

  • Gene Expression Data summaries are revised to make accessing the detailed expression data more intuitive. The links to the detailed data are now in the first column of the page and re-labeled data. A new camera icon indicates when images of the primary data are available by following the data link.

Electronic submission speeds up the integration of your data, making it more quickly available and increasing its exposure. It also allows you to include more of your data; GXD accepts both published and unpublished data.
