TFI and Friends of the World Food Program Announce $200,000 Fertilizer Industry Donation
The Fertilizer Institute (TFI) and Friends of the World Food Program (Friends of WFP) today announced a $200,000 fertilizer industry donation to Friends of WFP. The donation will support Junior Farmer Field and Life Schools (JFFLS), a groundbreaking program that aims to improve the livelihoods and long-term food and nutrition security of vulnerable children between 12 and 18 years of age. The Fertilizer Institute Boosts Economic Service Capabilities
The Fertilizer Institute (TFI) today announced the appointment of Rebecca Seigworth as director of economic services, a new position at TFI. Seigworth joins TFI’s economics team which is responsible for supporting the Institute’s efforts by formulating statistical information for the industry and providing economic analysis in the legislative, regulatory and public affairs arenas. The Fertilizer Institute Testifies at Second Hearing on Railroads' Common Carrier Obligation
The Fertilizer Institute (TFI) today testified before the Surface Transportation Board (STB) at a hearing on the railroads’ common carrier obligation as it pertains to the transportation of toxic-by-inhalation (TIH) materials such as anhydrous ammonia. This is the second hearing held by the STB on the issue and it provided an opportunity for TFI to stress both the essential nature of fertilizers, as well as the association’s efforts to seek a business solution to address the railroads’ concerns about transporting anhydrous ammonia. Fertilizer Industry Endows Professorship to Explore Link Between Fertilizer and Food Nutrition
The Nutrients for Life Foundation Professor of Soil and Food Crop Nutrition has been created at Oklahoma State University (OSU). The professorship, which is being funded in-part by the Nutrients for Life Foundation, The Fertilizer Institute (TFI) and the International Plant Nutrition Institute (IPNI), will explore the linkages between fertilizer use and the nutritional quality of food. myRMP
TFI is pleased to announce the release of myRMP Suite of Retail Guidance Materials, updated compliance tools which are free to industry members. myRMP is a revised version of the Retail Guidance Document for Agricultural Retailers supported by EPA. This new Web based tool is administered for TFI by Asmark Institute. To access myRMP, simply click on the following link and enter your TFI member login and password. Click here to access myRMP.

Nurse Tank Inspection Program
TFI secured an exemption from the Department of Transportation to continue to use properly inspection nurse tanks. TFI, together with the Asmark Institute, encourage you to apply for the exemption.
