In USDA's South Building, the National Agricultural Library's D.C. Reference Center (DCRC) will temporarily close on Friday, September 26 for one week, and reopen on Monday, October 6 in new space in Room 6836. DCRC's temporary new location is on the Sixth Floor, along the C Street Side of the South Building. The move is part of the renovation of the South Building's Wings 4 and 5.

From September 26 through October 3, requests for information should be directed by telephone (301) 504-5755 or e-mail to the Service Desk at the main National Agricultural Library in Beltsville, Maryland. DCRC staff may also be contacted for assistance at (202)720-3434 or by e-mail. The NAL Web site and Agricola database also provides access to a range of agricultural information resources.

DCRC will reopen in Room 6836 at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, October 6 with the same (8:30 a.m to 4:30 p.m., Monday - Friday) operating hours.

We encourage USDA staff to stop by DCRC in Rm. 6836 to get acquainted with the agricultural information products and services available in the new space and via Digitop, the Digital Desktop Library for USDA. Digitop provides 24/7 desktop access to journals, databases, newspapers, statistics, reference material, and other digital information resources vital to agriculture.
