Archives and Records Management assists county agencies in meeting their obligations to the citizens of King County through responsible public records management as outlined in the revised code of Washington, RCW 40.14 on the preservation and destruction of public records and in the King County code, Chapter 2.12 on the maintenance of permanent records.

To find the appropriate agency, please refer to the Records and Certificates  page.

The management of county records involves internal coordination with county agencies. To request county records, please contact the agencies directly.
