CSHCN provides linkage and coordination of services to all children with special needs, limited direct medical services, equipment and supplies to those families that meet financial and other program eligibility requirements.
gray bullet Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Training Manual for Trainers (2 parts):
For professional and paraprofessional trainers who want to expand their knowledge of the possible effects of alcohol on the fetus. Trainers who use this manual will be able to develop presentations for various types of audiences (i.e. parents, teachers, social service professionals, medical and treatment providers, as well as community groups.) The 2-part manual contains modules that discuss 7 major topics related to the effects of alcohol on the fetus. Each module includes training content ideas and suggested training materials and other resources related to the theme of the module.

The Family Planning Program provides reproductive health, birth control, STD, outreach and education services for King County residents in order to promote sexual health and well being and reduce unintended pregnancies.

Developed by Northwest Fireflies and Public Health's Emergency Medical Services, these are excellent and fun training tools to download and print to teach children basic safety skills to help prevent injuries.

In Seattle and King County, there are nearly 10,000 "permitted" permanent food establishments, including restaurants, food and espresso carts, coffee shops, delis and the fresh food sections of grocery stores. Each of these establishments has owners, managers and employees who have passed a test on handling food safely and received a food worker card.

Partnering with the H.E.R.E in Washington website, Public Health - Seattle & King County co-created a searchable database to allow you to locate free and low cost printed materials from a variety of agencies and nonprofit organizations. Each entry has been reviewed by a team of public health professionals. Review comments are included, along with supplier information and a downloadable PDF file, if available.
