Governor's Economic Summit to Highlight 3 G's

Exploring New Mexico’s economic opportunities in green technologies, global expansion and community development will be the 3 pronged focus of the 2008 Governor’s Summit on Economic Development. The event, taking place in Tucumcari October 1-3, will feature a wide range of national and local experts addressing New Mexico’s “competitive edge” in the 3 G’s- turning “green” technology developments into economic “gold,” as well as helping New Mexico businesses think “globally.”

Partnering with the New Mexico Economic Development Department in this event are the New Mexico Rural Alliance, New Mexico Industrial Development Executives Association, the City of Tucumcari, and the Greater Tucumcari Economic Development Corporation. In addition to the various seminars and speakers, the Summit will include a Friday evening shrimp boil with live music, as well as a Saturday evening Awards Banquet featuring the comedy of “Second City.”
