Electrical Inspection Section
The
Electrical Inspection Section of the Building and Safety division of the
Planning Department
is a team of highly skilled and experienced individuals. The staff consists of internationally certified electrical inspectors assisted by support staff and supervised by a chief electrical inspector under the direction of an Assistant Building & Safety Manager. We inspect
all aspects and phases of electrical system installations to ensure code
compliance for the safety of all Albuquerque residents. We work closely with a variety of community agencies in addressing any electrical complaints or concerns that affect the safety of our community. Our section assists the community with:
- Code Compliance with the 2008 National Electrical Code, the 2008 New Mexico Electrical Code and all local codes
- Code Compliance with all applicable National, State and Local Codes
- Electrical Permits
- Electrical Inspection Scheduling
- Electrical Inspection Records (Documentation of Inspections and Permits)
The Building Safety division is located on the Garden Level
of the Plaza Del Sol building at 600 2nd St NW. The office is open
during regular business hours Monday through Friday. For more information,
