Along with a multidisciplinary group of colleagues from the University of Buffalo, Dr. Buck Louis implemented the Buffalo Women's Gynecologic Health Study. The purpose of this study was to demonstrate that women undergoing laparoscopy could be recruited to participate in an epidemiologic study of endometriosis. A second objective was to determine the feasibility of collecting biospecimens, including omentum fat. One paper from this study has already been published, two others are currently under review.
