Deputy Chief Research & Development Officer
New Deputy CRADO
Joseph Francis, MD, MPH, has been appointed Deputy Chief Research and Development Officer (DCRADO).
Dr. Francis joined VA's Office of Research and Development in 2004 as Associate Director of Health Services
Research and Development Service (HSR&D), and as Director of VA's Quality Enhancement Research Initiative (QUERI).
With his guidance, QUERI has continued to focus on system-wide implementation of evidence-based practice.
In addition to his new responsibilities as Deputy CRADO, Dr. Francis will continue to lead the QUERI program.
