Biosketch: 
Robert Morris, Ph.D., is a senior researcher with a strong background in teaching and academic administration, clinical work, and research. Currently an NICHD grantee, he has been a PI on numerous grants and program project subprojects, covering such topics as reading and learning disabilities, bilingual reading, neuroimaging and the evaluation of reading disability interventions, childhood brain trauma and acquired childhood brain injuries, and research ethics (NCRR funding). He is well-known for mentoring doctoral students, post-doctoral fellows and junior faculty. Dr. Morris' research/expertise is nationally and internationally recognized. He is an active researcher, in addition to serving as Vice President for Research at Georgia State University and the recipient of several major awards and honors he has authored more than 80 peer review articles, over 30 book chapters, and 9 books or monograms. Dr. Morris is thoughtful, articulate, well-respected, and would be an outstanding addition to National Advisory Child Health and Human Development (NACHHD) Council. His term on the Council expires 11/30/2009. His areas of expertise include clinical psychology, pediatric developmental psychology, neuropsychology, educational psychology, and acquired brain injury.
