    What is the element found most often in the earth's surface?

    Earth's crust is 47 percent oxygen (by weight) and 28 percent silicon. Other elements such as aluminum and iron all have abundances of less than 10 percent. You can find the abundances in any textbook on Earth science, and on many websites as well.
