Counseling for Dental and Periodontal Disease

U.S. Preventive Services Task Force

The USPSTF recognizes the importance of preventing dental and periodontal disease. However, it has determined that there is no new evidence regarding the role of the primary care clinician in counseling for dental services. The USPSTF will not update its 1996 recommendation.
