Reliability is a reflection of the assuredness of the operability of the communications systems and the ability to transfer information between end users. It is part in parcel to the ability of the system to support the end users and is a reflection of the dependability of the system to meet the needs of the users. Reliability refers to system components, consistency of operations and procedures, and dependability of the system.
