U.S. FY2010 Federal Budget - Implications for charitable gifts
On April 29, 2009, the House and Senate adopted the $3.56 trillion conference budget agreement for FY2010, which upholds the core spending and tax priorities outlined by the President's proposal, including commitments to health care reform, middle class tax cuts and a permanent fix for the estate tax. The budget now moves to the appropriations phase where authorization and tax-writing committees will set funding levels for departments and programs and determine tax policies and priorities.
