Ask an Astrobiologist
"Assuming we knew where to look, would we be able to detect incidental radio transmissions (Radio Television) from an alien planet."
  1. Question

What Colleges Offer classes in Astrobiology?

At last count more than 150 colleges in the U.S. offered astrobiology classes. Most of these are taught by departments of astronomy, and many have names such as "life in the universe". It is partly in response to this demand that a new edition has just been released by Addison Wesley of the introductory astrobiology text by Bennett and Shostak called "Life in the Universe". You will need to check course catalogues to see if any of the schools that interest you offer such courses. Don't just look for the name "astrobiology". While there are few courses with this word in the title, there are many courses that cover much of the content of astrobiology under a different name. David Morrison
