18 - 20 November 2008
The Resilience Conference is designed to create a strength-based system for promoting psychological health and resilience. The Defense Centers of Excellence (DCoE) will use the Resilience Continuum Model as the foundation for assisting the Services to optimize resilience. - Partner with Leaders, Warriors, and Families to optimize resilience and to mitigate deployment related stressors.
- Identify opportunities to implement resilience based programs that enhance combat effectiveness, organizational health, and overall well being of Warriors and Families.
The Conference will explore key strategies, such as, equip leaders to create a climate in which Warriors seek help; prepare and train Warriors to manage stress responses effectively; identify resources for Service members and their Families to meet the challenges of the contemporary operating environment; and facilitate Military and Civilian helping agency and leadership collaboration to integrate services and increase cross-functional effectiveness.
