Due to funding shortfalls coupled with the ongoing commitment of the American Red Cross to provide emergency disaster relief an exciting opportunity for community support has been created.

Save the Day is a partnership provided to the community that extends an opportunity to sponsor one day, several days, one entire week or one month of Red Cross direct emergency disaster services to the community. This sponsorship will provide for a family who has lost everything to an unexpected fire or flood. Caring and giving partners will translate their financial support into temporary shelter for a displaced family, provide groceries, new clothes, and prescription replacement.

Over the last two years, we have helped over 170 families put their lives back together through our emergency disaster relief response. On an average each family received $400 in direct service.

As a Save the Day sponsor, you will receive:
ﾷ A Save the Day commemorative certificate to display at your place of business or home
ﾷ The Save the Day banner will be displayed the week(s) of your sponsorship at your place of business
ﾷ Recognition via local media whenever possible.

Save the Day would be an excellent venue for your staff to be involved in and exhibit their company pride as an involved community sponsor.

To date, 19 days of direct disaster emergency service has been sponsored with an additional 27 days of sponsorship pending. The goal of the local Red Cross is to Save 144 days this year to overcome funding shortfalls.
