5th Annual Walt Bales Memorial Golf Scramble Taking Registrations/Sponsorships

 

The Clark Co. Red Cross will hold the 5th Annual Walt Bales Memorial Golf Scramble for Disaster Relief on Monday, May 18th.  The event will be held at the Jeffersonville Elks Golf Club.  Lunch and registration will be at 12:oo p.m., followed by a 1:00 p.m. shotgun start.  Individual green fees are $125.00; team foresome fees are $500.00.  If you would like to support the event, but not actually play, hole sponsorships are $150.00.  If you would like to sponsor a team and a hole, the cost is $600.00, a savings of $50.00

Clark County Red Cross Announces 2009 Bales' Humanitarian Award Recipients

The Clark County Red Cross is honored to announce the 2009 Bales' Humanitarians of the Year Recipients.  This year's honorees are Les and Virginia Albro, Don Day and Charley and Mickey Reisert.

"The Gala Committee and the Board of Directors of the Clark County Chapter of the American Red Cross are delighted to have these deserving people join the high standards of the group of previous honorees, as the Bales' Humanitarians of 2009," said committee chair and Board member Marilyn Waldrip.  "They each exemplify the fundamental principles of the Red Cross - humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntary service and unity.  Please consider joining us to honor their accomplishments."

This year's event will be held on August 13th, at Kye's in Jeffersonville, located at 500 Missouri Ave.  Doors will open at 6:00 p.m., for the Silent Auction.  The program will begin at 7:00p.m.  Individual tickets are $75.00.

Red Cross teams with Eton for Disaster Radio 

 

The American Red Cross and Eton Corporation have teamed up to offer a great line of solar/self-powered radios to aid in disaster preparedness.  The FR150 Microlink is the most economically priced member of the group.  At 4” x 2.5” x 2”, this small package is full of features.

Inaugural Ride for the Red Event

Inaugural Ride for the Red Event Announced

The Clark County Red Cross will hold the 1st Annual Ride for the Red Motorcycle fundraiser.  The Ride will take place on Saturday, March 28th.  Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. at S&S Powersports, 700 Kopp Lane, Clarksville.
