The Clark County Red Cross is honored to announce the 2009 Bales' Humanitarians of the Year Recipients.  This year's honorees are Les and Virginia Albro, Don Day and Charley and Mickey Reisert.

"The Gala Committee and the Board of Directors of the Clark County Chapter of the American Red Cross are delighted to have these deserving people join the high standards of the group of previous honorees, as the Bales' Humanitarians of 2009," said committee chair and Board member Marilyn Waldrip.  "They each exemplify the fundamental principles of the Red Cross - humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntary service and unity.  Please consider joining us to honor their accomplishments."

This year's event will be held on August 13^th, at Kye's in Jeffersonville, located at 500 Missouri Ave.  Doors will open at 6:00 p.m., for the Silent Auction.  The program will begin at 7:00p.m.  Individual tickets are $75.00.

Red Cross teams with Eton for Disaster Radio
