The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) will be issuing a written solicitation (Request for Proposals) in approximately 10 business days for interior painting, at the CFTC headquarters located in Washington, DC. The CFTC occupies approximately 138,318 square feet of space on the 1st, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th floors of the building. The space to be painted may include the following areas: interior office space, hallways, doorways, closet space, lobby areas and elevator areas, as needed. The contractor will be responsible for furnishing all labor, equipment and materials for performing operations in connection with the painting. The requirements include, but are not limited to, the following elements: preparing surfaces to be painted, spackling, caulking, and painting. The CFTC expects to award an indefinite-delivery- indefinite-quantity (IDIQ), task order contract for this requirement. The agency will issue firm fixed price task orders for the painting work, as needed. The amount of work required and the value of each task order will vary in terms of the amount of square feet that the contractor will be required to paint, as needed by the agency. The duration of the IDIQ contract shall be for a 1-year base period and shall include two 1-year options, to be exercised at the sole discretion of CFTC. The NAICS Code of 238320 is applicable to this procurement. The small business size standard is $13 million average annual revenue. Requests for a copy of the solicitation must be submitted in writing and may be sent by e-mail to the following address: sowens@cftc.gov or by fax to 202-418-5414. Requests should reference the solicitation number and the requestor's mailing address. Solicitations will be available by e-mail provided that the request includes the e-mail address to which it should be sent. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency.
