National Interagency Fire Center (NIFC)
National Interagency Coordination Center is the focal point for overseeing all interagency coordination activities throughout the United States.
National Wildfire Coordinating Group's Geospatial Task Group coordinates geospatial data, standards, applications, and processes of the participating wildfire management agencies.
Joint Fire Science Program (JFSP), a partnership of six Federal wildland and fire and research organizations, to provide scientific information and support for fuel and fire management programs.

LANDFIRE, the Landscape Fire and Resource Management Planning Tools Project.

The Fire Sciences Lab (FiSL), an arm of the US Forest Service's Rocky Mountain Research Station located in Missoula, MT
Wildland Fire Assessment System (WFAS) - Joint effort by The Missoula Fire Sciences Lab and SEM provides a national view of weather and fire potential, including national fire danger and weather maps and satellite-derived "Greenness" maps.
MODIS Active Fire Mapping Program Forest Service's Remote Sensing Applications Center.

NOAA Fire Weather Information Center - sites and information on the latest weather forecasts, including satellite images and graphics.
Hazard Mapping System (HMS) - NOAA's interactive map site that displays the locations of fires and significant smoke plumes detected by meteorological satellites.

USGS's Natural Hazards Support System (NHSS) - enables users to monitor and analyze natural hazards events as they are occurring anywhere on the Earth.

Systems for Environmental Management (SEM) - a Montana nonprofit research and educational corporation specializing in issues concerning wildland fire planning, behavior, fuel, weather, and effects.
