There have been a number of requests for assistance in creating a generic template to use in contracting for digital data creation. Most of the questions concerned technical specifications to use in order to get the quality of data needed. The following documents should be of use to offices in dealing with outside contracts to obtain spatial data.
Please note that these documents reference refuge data sets, and the Comprehensive Management Plan (CMP) process. You will need to read through the documents and customize them to your applications before using. Data formats and delivery media are other items that may differ for you. The specifications are geared to data derived at the 1:24,000 scale. Documents are in WordPerfect 5.1 format.
Generic Spatial Data Statement of Work (SOW)
Covers general technical information applicable to most projects. This information
was supplied by Mark Kildow, Region 1 GIS Coordinator
Project Specific SOW Adds the needed details
to the generic SOW, such as type of spatial data, classification system used,
etc.
