DescriptionUnder Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP), Aviation Management intends to issue a sole source; firm-fixed price purchase order to Infosat Communications, Inc for a follow-on contract for the monthly relay service into AFF. This announcement constitutes the only notice. The sole source authority for this purchase is Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 6.302-1 (ii), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Determinations not to compete this proposed procurement were made because Infosat Communication, Inc is the current vendor and changing out the equipment could cause substantial duplication of cost to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition, and could cause unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency's requirements.
