2006-Awards

Studies Awarded in Fiscal Year 2006

More than $18 million was awarded for continuing and new studies designed to provide environmental and socioeconomic information for the Offshore Oil and Gas Program, the Marine Minerals Program, and the Renewable Energy Program. In addition to field and laboratory research, and synthesis and modeling studies, MMS also provided co-sponsorship for relevant workshops and conferences. Projects were awarded competitively, through cooperative agreement with universities, and through interagency agreement with other Federal agencies.
