  • The syllabus will be evaluated for relevance and academic quality by an NLM assessment panel
  • If it is accepted for inclusion on the website, then we will ask you to sign a permissions form that allows the NLM to mount the syllabus on this website.
  • Once we have your written permission, we will mount the syllabus on the website.

bullet image Guidelines

We collect syllabi from anywhere in the world, in any language, and on any relevant subject in the history of medicine, public health, the biomedical sciences, nursing, and related areas.

Syllabi should:
  • Be of college or university level.
  • Reflect current standards of academic scholarship as determined by the assessment panel.

Unfortunately, syllabi that do not meet these standards cannot be accepted. We do not accept syllabi in which the history of medicine is only a small component (e.g. medical, public health or nursing syllabi that include a brief introductory history of these fields.) If you have questions, please contact us.
