 When things go wrong.

We convert all the syllabi to PDF format, and they should be perfect copies. But sometimes things go wrong. If you spot a problem with your own syllabus, please contact us, and we will put it right.

 FAQs

I sent you my syllabus, but it has not appeared on the website
  • You sent it less than a month ago.
    • It takes about a month (from receipt) to mount the syllabus on the website, maybe a little more at holiday times.

  • You did not mail the permission form.
    • We cannot mount any syllabi on the website without a signed permission form. Please download a generic permissions form, and mail a paper copy to us. Click here to download a permissions form, or contact us below.

  • It was rejected by the assessment panel.
    • All syllabi are subject to assessment by an internal NLM panel for relevance and academic quality. If your syllabus has been rejected, a letter or email will be sent to you informing you of the decision.
    • We are happy to discuss reasons for rejection, and syllabi may be resubmitted after revision.

  • We messed up.
    • Yes, sometimes even a government agency can get it wrong. Please let us know, and we will try to fix it.

The syllabus I sent you looks terrible... what happened?

  • Your original syllabus was a problem; please send us a clean copy.
    • All syllabi are converted to PDF format. This means it should look exactly like the copy you sent us. If there is a problem with your original, it will appear in the PDF format.
      • We check all syllabi for obvious problems, and will silently correct some, e.g. Hippocrates @Airs, Waters and Places› may be changed to Hippocrates ‘Airs, Waters and Places.’
      • But, not every problem can be corrected.

  • We messed up.
    • Sorry. Please let us know, and we will fix the problem
