Playground Recreation Program

The program provides planned, organized and supervised activities designed to meet the recreational needs of children 6 through 11 years of age.  The program is also geared to enhance the participants existing recreational skills while introducing and encouraging interest in new areas of recreation.  These programs are held at various elementary schools throughout the Albuquerque area.  For more information, call 505-767-5885 from 8 am – 5 pm, Monday through Friday.

 

2008 Playground Recreation Summer Program

Playground Recreation offers a summer recreation program for seven to eight weeks every summer to school age children, 6 to 11 years of age, at various elementary schools.  This year the Summer Program will begin on June 9 and continue through July 31, 2008 at most sites.

Registration is required and will be done on a first-come-first-served basis. Registration will be held on June 6 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at each site listed below.  A non-refundable registration fee is required.   Once we reach our registration limit, any additional registrations forms will be placed on a waiting list.

Program Hours:

          Regular hours: 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday

          Extended hours: 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday

 

• Income eligible information does not apply during the summer.
• Registration fee must be paid at time of registration.
• Program fees for the entire summer can be paid in advance at the time of registration.  Fees which are not paid in advance must be paid on a weekly basis, preferably by check or money order.
• If the weekly fee is not paid by the end of the week, your child will be discharged from the program.
• If your child is dropped off before 9 a.m. or picked up after 3:00 p.m., and is not registered for the extended program, you will be charged the extended fee for the week.
• If a child is left in our care after 6:00 p.m. (closing time), the parents and/or legal guardians will be charged a $15.00 late fee for each 30 minutes after 6:00 p.m.  The late charge must be paid at the time the child is being picked up from the program.
• If your child is not picked up from the program by 7 p.m. and a parent, legal guardian or anyone else on the registration form cannot be reached, we will contact the Albuquerque Police Department and they will transport the child to All Faith’s Home.
