Description: Outdoor Recreation joins with staff from Shooting Range Park to teach the New Mexico Game and Fish's Hunter Safety Education Course. This follows the national recommendation and the certificate is accepted anywhere in the country. Most states require hunter safety training for young hunters. In New Mexico anyone under 18 must graduate this class before they apply for a license. In Colorado anyone born after 1949 must have the certificate before they apply for a hunting license. The class teaches the students how to enjoy their hunting experience safely through lectures, videos, and hands on sessions.
