Sports: Breaking Records, Breaking Barriers
Through August 20, 2006, the National Constitution Center hosts an inspiring exhibition that focuses on 35 athletes, including Jackie Robinson, and issues such as racial integration, women's changing roles, and the emergence of sports celebrities. The exhibition also highlights the effect athletes' personal victories, both on and off the field, exert on the nation's consciousness.
Money in Motion
The Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia presents Money in Motion, a permanent interactive exhibit displaying how money works, how coins and bills are made, and how interest rates are set. Check out the tower of money, which contains $100 million in shredded bills. |
