January 30, 1998: Political Activity: Federal Employees Residing in Designated Localities; Final Rule

The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) is issuing a final rule regarding the political activity of Federal employees residing in designated localities. The final rule will inform Federal employees of the political activities which are permitted and prohibited under the Hatch Act Reform Amendments of 1993 for employees who reside in localities designated by OPM, and in connection with elections for local partisan political office in these localities. Announces a proposed extension of a form which collects information from the public. OPM Form 1203, Occupational Supplement Series--Form C, is an optical scan form designed to collect applicant information and qualifications in a format suitable for automated processing and to create basic applicant records for an automated examining system.
