FORT MONROE, Va. (TRADOC News Service, Sept. 1, 2005) – Two 87th Division (Training Support) senior officers have been selected for promotion, Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld announced.
President George W. Bush has nominated Brig. Gen. James P. Eggleton for appointment to major general, according to Rumsfeld. Eggleton commands 87th Division (TS), based in Birmingham, Ala.
Col. Blake E. Williams received the nod for his first star as well, Rumsfeld said. Williams is dual-hatted as 87th (TS)’s 1st Brigade commander and assistant division commander.
