Eight colonels receive nod to become TRADOC’s newest general officers

FORT MONROE, Va. (TRADOC News Service, Sept. 1, 2005) – President George W. Bush has selected several members of the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command leadership team for promotion to brigadier general, Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld announced Aug. 31.

They are:

  • Col. Ronald M. Bouchard, deputy commander/assistant commandant, U.S. Army Signal Center and School, Fort Gordon, Ga.;
  • Col. Anthony R. Ierardi, en route to serve as director, Capabilities Developments, Futures Center, Fort Monroe, Va.;
  • Col. James M. McDonald, deputy commander/assistant commandant, Field Artillery Center and School, Fort Sill, Okla.;
  • Col. Joe E. Ramirez Jr., en route to serve as deputy commander, Combined Arms Center, Fort Leavenworth, Kan.;
  • Col. Michael E. Rounds, commander, operations group, Joint Readiness Training Center, Fort Polk, La.;
  • Col. Todd T. Semonite, deputy commander for initial-entry training/deputy commandant, U.S. Army Engineer School, Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.;
  • Col. Robin P. Swan, director, concept development and experimentation, Futures Center, Fort Monroe; and
  • Col. William T. Wolf, deputy commander/assistant commandant, U.S. Army Aviation Center, Fort Rucker, Ala.
