LIFT-EQUIPPED VAN SERVICE
For those unable to use Regular Bus Routes

FOND DU LAC AREA TRANSIT,
in a joint and cooperative effort with the City of Fond du Lac and Fond du Lac County, is proud to offer a truly affordable transportation alternative for those citizens who are unable to use regular transit service. The service is called HANDI-VAN a wheel chair lifted equipped van service.

ELIGIBILITY
for Handi-Van service: All individuals must meet the Americans with Disabilities Act Paratransit rules. Certification is required. If you are not certified, please complete the online form and submit to us.

THE FARE is just $1.50 a ride. If you have an attendant assisting you, he/she rides free. The Handi-Van is a truly affordable alternative when you compare it with similar services costing much more than Handi-Van's basic fare. Exact fare at time of trip is appreciated, as drivers will be able to make change up to a dollar only.

THE CURB-T0-CURB SERVICE
is to all areas within the Fond du Lac corporate limits, plus portions of neighboring towns with 3/4 of a mile from a fixed bus route.

ADVANCED RESERVATIONS are required for each Handi-Van ride. They should be made by 3:00 pm the working day before requested service. Same day requests will be accommodated as vehicle schedule and capacity permit. Advance reservations are required in all cases for service on Saturdays and evenings. Standing appointments with Handi-Van must be renewed or confirmed every two weeks.
