NASA Shuttle managers today announced that launch of mission STS-99 has been set for Feb. 11. The window opens at 12:30 p.m. EST and extends for 2 hours, 10 minutes.

Extended scrub turnaround activities continue at the pad today as technicians prepare to remove and replace the faulty Master Events Controller (MEC) from Endeavour's aft engine compartment. Testing of the replacement MEC will begin tonight. Tomorrow, ordnance will be reconnected and aft closeouts will begin this weekend. Aft closeouts are expected to be complete by Monday evening.

The launch countdown will begin at the 43-hour mark at 5:30 p.m. on Feb. 8 and the crew will return to KSC at about 12 noon on Feb. 7
