Interagency Task Force to Improve the Hydropower Licensing Processes
In 1998, the Department of Commerce, along with Departments of the Interior, Agriculture, and Energy; the Council on Environmental Quality, the Environmental Protection Agency, and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission formed the Interagency Task Force to Improve Hydroelectric Licensing Processes (ITF).
Representatives of agency staff and non-federal stakeholders made significant progress in making the hydropower licensing more efficient and effective by developing a set of documents that describe best practices to follow during relicensing proceedings. Links to each of these documents are below:
