Priority is given to Holocaust survivors and their immediate families. The Museum defines a survivor as a person who was displaced, persecuted and/or discriminated against by the racial, religious, ethnic, social and political policies of the Nazis and their allies. In addition to former inmates of concentration camps and ghettos this includes, among others, refugees and people in hiding.
The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum respects your right to privacy. Personal information collected in this form will not be sold or disseminated and will remain confidential and accessible only to authorized personnel. Read the USHMM's full privacy statement.
Before you start, please assemble any relevant records, including full names, dates and places (towns and countries). Be as precise as possible. For example, providing exact birth dates, correct spellings and precise locations before, during and after the war, will maximize the chances of locating relevant records.
