Puget Sound Area Farmers Markets

Farmers Markets are a great place to buy local products directly from farmers.

Food purchased at a local Farmers Market comes with outstanding freshness, quality, flavor, and variety. You know exactly where your food comes from and how it was grown. Additionally, you support a sustainable regional food system that helps small family farms stay in business; protects land from development, and provides all of us with fresh, local food. Farmers Markets have a wide selection of foods and hand crafted items, including: fruits, vegetables, herbs, meats, cheeses, milk, jams and jellies, wines and sauces, breads, seafood, and plants and flowers.

Use this "Farmers Market Finder" to locate a farmers market nearby...or search for one somewhere else around Puget Sound and make a day-trip! Most markets are seasonal (May-late-October), but a few are open year-round. Each market has its own style and atmosphere depending on its surrounding community. Most Farmers Markets are cash or check only (most accept WIC and Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program checks). More and more markets are becoming certified to accept electronic food stamps (EBT cards). Each market will have an information booth or table staffed with people who can answer specific questions about their particular market.
