Dr. Ransohoff is Professor of Medicine, Director of Clinical Research Curriculum at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Also, he is working on evaluating molecular markers for cancer with the Division of Cancer Prevention, National Cancer Institute, National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, Maryland.

Learning Objective

To understand "rules of evidence" for evaluating molecular markers for diagnosis and prognosis and to understand current proteomics and genomics research controversies in light of those rules.
