2007-2008 Colloquia Series

The Office of Preventive Oncology in the Division of Cancer Prevention presents a Colloquia Series on Wednesdays from 11:00 a.m. to noon, beginning in September and continuing through June.  On occasion these lectures are offered on other days of the week.

All lectures are open to the public and are announced in the NIH and the NCI calendar of events. Speakers and topics are posted below as information becomes available. The first lecture of each month, noted below with [S], is devoted to a statistical topic.

Lectures are held at NIH's Executive Plaza complex (Executive Plaza North), 6130 Executive Boulevard, Rockville, Maryland (map); pay parking is available.

Educational objectives:

To better comprehend current research in various aspects of cancer prevention and control, including current challenges and methods used by investigators to address gaps, advance he field, and promote application of successful strategies, and to better identify various bio-statistical methods and appropriate conditions fro application in cancer prevention and control research.

The National Institutes of Health/Foundation for Advanced Education in the Sciences (NIH/FAES) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
