The List of Excluded Individuals/Entities
(LEIE) is available in several different
versions, and all are .dbf file(s) zipped
into self-extracting executable files.
In Windows, you may extract
the file(s) by typing the file name at the
Run command, or by clicking on the file
name in Windows Explorer. The .dbf file
is compatible with database programs such
as Access and spreadsheet programs such
as Excel. Please refer to your user's manual
for instructions on using .dbf files with
your software program.
Versions
Standard LEIE:
The standard LEIE is a complete database
file containing all exclusion in effect
as of October 2002. Individuals and entities
who have been reinstated are not included
in this file. The standard LEIE will NOT
be updated. The file should be updated monthly
through the implementation of monthly exclusion
and reinstatement supplements. See procedures
below for basic instruction on how to do
this.
Updated LEIE:
The updated LEIE is a complete database
file containing all exclusions currently
in effect. Individuals and entities who
have been reinstated are not included in
this file. Each month a new updated LEIE
will be posted and the old updated LEIE
will be removed. This file is complete and
should not be used in conjunction with the
monthly exclusion and reinstatement supplements.
Procedures
Standard LEIE:
After downloading and extracting the Standard
LEIE, open it in whichever program you opt
to use.
Monthly Exclusion Supplements: Add or append
each subsequent monthly exclusion supplement
to the LEIE.
Monthly Reinstatement Supplements: The
monthly reinstatement supplement should
not be added or appended to the LEIE. Use
it as a guide for manually inserting the
reinstatement date in the LEIE by taking
the following steps:
1. Identify each individual and entity
listed in the monthly reinstatement supplement
2. Locate the matching individuals and entities
in the LEIE
3. Manually insert the reinstatement dates
in the LEIE
By adding or appending the exclusion supplements
and manually inserting the reinstatement
dates obtained from the monthly reinstatement
supplements, your LEIE database file current.
