Kathy Kliebert, Assistant SecretaryKathy Kliebert, Assistant Secretary

I am pleased to welcome you to the Office for Citizens with Developmental Disabilities (OCDD) web site. The intent of the web site is to increase awareness of the supports and services provided by the office. It is hoped that the web pages are easily accessible and will provide a referral source for people with developmental disabilities and their families.

The Office for Citizens with Developmental Disabilities faces many significant challenges in order to respond to the people in Louisiana that have developmental disabilities. We have a growing need, especially for community-based services and supports. We are committed to work towards expanding service options to assure that people with developmental disabilities have the opportunity for a meaningful, quality life.

This web site will serve to keep you updated on current and future initiatives of the Office to meet that commitment.  Additionally, the web pages include methods to access services through our Regional Offices (regional offices, districts and authorities); information on OCDD operated Supports and Services Centers, Resource Centers; Community Support Teams, and links to other sites for state and national resources on developmental disabilities.

If you are unable to locate services that you need, please call the OCDD Central Office at 225-342-0095 or email us at ocddinfo@dhh.la.gov.

Sincerely,

Kathy H. Kliebert
Assistant Secretary for the Office for Citizens with Developmental Disabilities
