National Nutrition and Dietetics Training Program

REGISTRATION FEE POLICY

Staff working for tribal programs that have compacted with the Indian Health Service (IHS) and taken their tribal shares from the IHS Nutrition and Dietetics Training Program (N&DTP) budget will be charged a registration fee to attend Nutrition & Dietetics Training Program workshops. This decision was made in response to N&DTP’s shrinking budget due to compacting.

Some programs/agencies may also be subject to the registration fee, please call or e-mail us for more details if you are unsure of your status.

For tribes who have withdrawn their shares the registration fee for attending the workshop will be $400 per participant. Checks should be made out to the Indian Health Service and mailed to the Nutrition and Dietetics Training Program at 1700 Cerrillos Road, Santa Fe, NM 87505 prior to the workshop. Compacting tribes also have the option of returning the shares taken from the N&DTP. This option may be pursued by making a request through your administrative body or compacting organization to negotiate or amend your tribe’s Annual Funding Agreement.

There are no registration fees for tribes whose shares have remained with N&DTP. Some workshops are sponsored by other Indian Health Programs and there is no registration fee for those workshops for any attendee. See the description page of the workshop to see if a registration fee may be required.
