The Pacific Coastal Salmon Recovery Fund (PCSRF) was established in 2000 to provide grants to the states and tribes to assist state, tribal and local salmon conservation and recovery efforts. The PCSRF was requested by the governors of the states of Washington, Oregon, California and Alaska in response to Endangered Species Act (ESA) listings of West Coast salmon and steelhead populations.
