November 28, 2005...Central Alabama Tornadoes

A slow moving cold front crossed Central Alabama on Monday November 28, 2005. A negative-tilted upper level trough, a surface cold front, and a moist and unstable airmass combined to produce severe weather across parts of Central Alabama. National Weather Service Storm Assessment Teams determined that a total of 6 tornadoes occurred during the event. A few additional wind damage and large hail reports were also received.
