Posting Date | 2008-Aug-04 |
Part of the oil spill Incident Command is the Wildlife Branch. The Wildlife Branch includes personnel from DOI's US Fish and Wildlife Service and USDA's Wildlife Service. These agencies are working cooperatively to minimize impacts to wildlife. This is accomplished through the use of hazing devices such as propane cannons or scare cartridges. This cooperative effort also extends to wildlife capture where personnel from both agencies are working together to capture oiled wildlife for rehabilitation. These photographs were taken by the Wildlife Branch, USFWS/USDA between July 24, 2008 and August 3, 2008.
