Staff DirectoryOffice of the Assistant AdministratorBased in Washington, D.C. this office directs and supervises the activities of the Bureau and the USAID Missions in ANE.
Office of Strategic Planning OperationsThe Office of Strategic Planning Operations is responsible for helping shape foreign assistance budget and planning processes in collaboration with the Department of State. The office is also responsible for executing the USAID portion of the integrated foreign assistance budget, accounting for USAID funds flowing to the region, and ensuring compliance with region-specific statutory requirements, Presidential initiatives, and Congressional reporting. Furthermore, this office plays a crucial role in providing legislative and public outreach in support of ANE’s program.
Office of Technical Support The Office of Technical Support provides leadership on development issues in the ANE region through analysis, strategy development, project design, evaluation, and information dissemination in the areas of economics, democracy and governance, natural resources management and environment, agriculture, population, HIV/AIDS, health, nutrition, education, and conflict mitigation.
REGIONAL OFFICESBased in Washington, DC, the regional offices function as liaisons between field offices and Washington-based management & technical staff, and between USAID and the public.
