THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION IS BASED ON THE MOST CURRENT DATA PROVIDED TO NOAA. - EVENING REPORT SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 9TH VALDEZ: Situation: Robinson is accompanying VADM Robbins on his trip to Seward, Kodiak and Homer. He is expected to return to Valdez on Monday evening. Walker returned from Anchorage. Field returned to Seattle to prepare for the toxicologist conference. USCG Mobile Lab has shut down and will return to the R&D Center on Wednesday. KODIAK: (Talbott) Situation: Weather delayeds all flights again today but afternoon clearing permitted some air operations on the Eastern side of Kodiak Island. While the weather continues to restrict field operations the emphasis remains on organizing and checking all records and files in preparation for "mothballing" the command center for the winter. The ISCC meeting was postponed until Monday as several agencies had personnel off of the island. Plans for Tomorrow: VADM Robbins is scheduled to arrive in Kodiak Sunday evening for meetings on Monday. The weather forecast is for continued improvement an flight operations are expected to resume tomorrow. SEWARD: (McGee) Situation: McGee meeting with Robinson and VADM Robbins today.
